Today’s HDR image. This is a memory box my father gave to me a few years ago that I’ve really just gotten around to looking through. Mostly memorabilia from the days he ran service stations in the metro Atlanta area in the early 1960’s. I love dad boxes! I’d been wanting to shoot this particular box for months now but the weather hadn’t been exactly cooperating for the sunshine I needed. I wanted to see how the HDR with later afternoon sun on a still life looked and I can’t say I’m disappointed. The depth of the shadows and the painterly 3D effect on HDR are still amazing me.
